Frankfurt is at the epicenter of the finance in Europe and is home to about 200 banks including 162 international banks. Also in our home city are 7,900 financial services companies and investment funds plus branches of some of the biggest consulting agencies, law firms and auditing companies (according to GTAI).  

Because of our location, it’s logical that 33% of the startups in our community are focused on Banking and Financial Services and Insurance. Our corporate partners also include more than seven banks, the Deutsche Börse Group and one Institutional Partner - the Deutsche Bundesbank.  

We have the community to explore digital solutions in finance , plus our roots are located in the heart of Frankfurt and Europe’s biggest financial center.

Partnership with the Deutsche Bundesbank

Our ongoing Institutional Partnership with the Deutsche Bundesbank offers a mutual basis for a wide range of companies to jointly develop and implement innovative solutions for future economic, social and ecological challenges. 

An example of this collaboration is the “Bundesbank Innovation Challenge – Machine Learning for Risk Monitoring.” The program was a three-day boot camp tailored for European startups that are developing risk monitoring solutions using AI and Big Data advancements.  

Ten startups received use cases, or challenges, created by multiple departments inside of the Deutsche Bundesbank. Some of the challenge include the development of productivity, as well as the early detection of risks for the economic cycle.   

The result? New relationships and a strengthened network between founders and risk monitoring experts guiding regulations across Europe.
